About Me.
Louis Pasteur once said, "Without laboratories, men of science are soldiers without arms."
I consider myself to be a woman of science. To me, exploring is using new, better equipment to do an old experiment. Adventure is performing an experiment for the first time and not knowing what the result is going to be. Excitement is realizing that the lab you've done ten times has finally done what it's supposed to do. Without a laboratory, I am a soldier without arms. Without a lab, any potential to help that lies within me is cut off and stranded. Without a laboratory, I can't be myself. The Honors Mentorship Program at my school allows me to be a woman of science with a lab to flourish within. This program is one designed to help future seeking kids intern at the job of their dreams. It shows them what life in their chosen profession will be like and it gives them valuable resources for a future in that field. This is a blog detailing the work I do for the Honors Mentorship Program. |
